Dear TSMS Families,
I would like to thank all of the families who have already helped us raise over $30,000 this year towards school trips and events. As many of you have already heard from your children, these funds have paid for valuable and exciting educational experiences outside of the school walls. NYC Center for Space, Camp Ramapo, American Museum of Natural History, Constitution Works (mock trials), Ballet Hispanico, Lion King, To Kill a Mockingbird, to name a few were all paid for by PTA funds.
Even as we were able to raise over $30,000 we are still short $24,000. This means that we currently will not be able to afford the Chelsea Piers and Washington DC trips as well as a number of smaller excursions. In order to be able to fund these trips I am asking that the remaining Non-Title I families who have not yet donated this year to please contribute by April 1st so we can plan our trips for the rest of the year.
(A Non-Title I family is one who makes over $30,000).
While we are asking each non-Title 1 family to contribute $550 this school year, any amount you are able to give will help. (The only gift too small is no gift at all!) If you feel your family can donate an even larger amount to this effort, we would very much appreciate it.
